War on Terrorism
The United Kingdom”s The Sun Monday, 28 December 2009, online edition reports that “Cops feat that 25 British-born Muslims are plotting to bomb Western airliners.” On Christmas day, a London-educated Nigerian named Umar Abdulmutallab tried to blow up a U.S. jet bound for Michigan.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolatino responded by assuring us that flying is “very, very safe.” Then, we hear about new security measures that have been installed, including the one that prohibits passengers from using restrooms aboard planes up to an hour before landing. What stupidity! In the first place, it’s time that administration officials take their own screwed up lists of potential flight risks seriously. If someone is on that list, it should be assumed they are a serious risk until proven otherwise. Not so much as a second should be spent on worrying about “political correctness.” If you are from the Middle East or Africa, get used to the idea that you will be checked out thoroughly before boarding a plane to the U.S.
Second, this no restroom use an hour before landing. Absolutely ridiculous! Whoever came up with that edict obviously has no comprehension of human biology. And, I would bet they have a room temperature IQ and they are a bureaucrat. It won’t work, you fools.
Lastly, it is time Barack Obama began using the term “War on Terrorism” from time to time. His laughable refusal to use these words suggests that he is overly sensitive about potentially alienating muslims. Apparently, he doesn’t understand that there are good muslims and bad muslims, just as there are good and bad catholics.
